Themes and Roles...

So, the official theme this year is called "A Film for the Ages." In other words, there is no real theme. So we're good. We're doing a spoof on the office by sort of imagining that the characters in the office were all in a seminary class.

Starring...
Bro. Stiles as Michael and Aaron as Dwight...

The other roles will come as the script is tweaked...Daniel and I are have a rough draft of the screenplay, but we do need a commercial. Any ideas for a good commercial to make in the middle of our movie?

Movie of the Week

We have a new feature on our site called 'Movie of the Week.' Every week a song from a different movie (or tv show) will be posted for, um, inspirational purposes. This week's movie is Monsters Inc., because it's just that cool of a movie. Click on the play button at the left-hand side of the screen to play it while you surf around the site.

"The Office" 101...

One of the ideas for this movie was to do something with the flavor of NBC's "The Office." To help those of you who aren't familiar with it, here are a few youtube clips to get you caught up...and don't worry, they're all clean. :)

Here's a new clip involving the BEST episode of the Office ever...the rabies episode!

And to see who all of the main characters are, click here...

And one of the best clips from the Office involving Dwight, Jim and Angela...

Forgotten Pictures...

While we have this site, I might as well include some pictures on here that I took one time at mutual...they have never been SEEN outside the Sloan home! :)
On that infamous day that Daniel got his hair cut...While the rest of the ward watched in awe...And here is a shot of some of our amazing young women!

And So It Began...

Well, there ya have it. After a 3 hour labor of love, the website is up! And this is our first official production picture...

Job Search...Which Role Would You Like?

Possible Roles:

1) Film and editing crew (high commitment: March and April) Will work on filming and editing the movie. Should have meeting times to discuss the movie. Will be responsible for adding in any extra features and for copying the DVD for everyone.

2) Actor (high or medium commitment: March) Will act in the movie, either as a main actor or an actor with a smaller role. Auditions will be held if there are too many people, although the writers will try to find a part for everyone.

3) The Dessert Committee: (low commitment: March) For anyone cool enough to bring some kind of refreshments to filmings... :)

4) Paparazzi: (low commitment: February, March or April) We need photographers during February, March and April who can capture moments of the movie-making process. When we make DVDs of the movie for you guys, we will have pictures of the behind-the-scenes work that everybody put into this movie.

The writing committee consists of Daniel, Sarah Boardman and myself. Anyone else who wants a spot can send me an email, a facebook message, give me a call, or tell me at church. The options are endless.
