Ward Film Production Dates...
We will be filming at seminary as much as possible and then again on one mutual night (more as needed). This will be very exciting. I predict that we will do the mutual filming on Wednesday, March 12.
1: We will need to film the main Seminary shots when Brother Stiles is here (in the morning). We can probably do that at seminary actually...
2: We will need to do all of the Aaron and Elizabeth shots at mutual.
3: We need a time to shoot the commercial. I think that the commercial should be a movie trailer for youth conference...but what do y'all think?

The Script is Up!
The Class...
Getting a shot of Phyllis with the alarm going off, getting ready, have her brushing their teeth, and falling asleep with her head bumping into the mirror.
Opening credits (music)
Ok, back to the show...
Open on an empty relief society room with only Meredith, sitting at one of the 10 semi-circular chairs. She’s eating an elaborate breakfast involving a George Foreman grill. The room is silent. And then the door opens and Pam, Jim, Dwight and Angela, all with a whole bunch of pillows and blankets and things, and Ryan, who has a sheet, come in one by one. They start setting it up, and Meredith continues to cook.
Pam aside – Last week in seminary class, we read that the children of
Ryan: I remember when I was seven...and my brother wanted to set up a tent and have a campout in our living room. And I remember thinking...I’m just a little too old for this. I was seven. (aside)
Get a shot of Bro. Scott as he walks in from the car.
Scott: “Hi, I am Brother Scott, the seminary teacher, and today is my birthday. I’m sure the kids have been going crazy planning for it all week. I decided to come in just a little late today to, you know, let them set up. Scott walks in, and, seeing the abodes, has a semi-surprised look on his face.
Scott: “ohh, what is this, you guys? For me?” (expectant)
Pam, confused, hands him the flier and he reads it silently. (after you hand it to him just stand there with your hands together with your head a teeny bit tilted down looking up at him with firm but not tight lips looking hopeful)
Scott: (rolls his eyes) ...All right...
Ahh...Is that a George Foreman Grill? You shouldn’t have! He takes the grill (Meredith (Meredith) files in, a small abode ready)
Meredith has a deer in the headlights look and looks confused.
Meredith aside: He took my breakfast. (shocked) I had an egg sandwich in there.
Everyone is setting up their tents and Angela is plugging in Christmas lights, while Dwight (Dwight) suddenly smells something. “Wait a minute! There is a hot drink in the area!” He rushes over to Kelly (Kelly) (tie flying behind him) and picks up the thermos. “We cannot allow this in here. (holds it firmly with both hands on the other side of his body, but slightly leaning towards Kelly while firmly talking) That is against...D&C 89, I am going to have to confiscate this.” He is about to put it in a plastic bag when Kelly interferes.
Kelly: (disturbed while putting on her makeup) Seriously!
Brother Scott: It’s fine, Dwight. Really. Put it down. Put...it...down.
Dwight puts it down, eyeing Brother Scott suspiciously.
Dwight: (Reads the verse in D and C that says ‘no hot drinks.’) Well...?
Commercial break:
Back to Phyllis, who wakes up from her toothbrush and remembers that she has to come into seminary. She looks at her watch and then starts getting ready quickly.
In class:
Jim (Jim) finishes setting up his abode and then sits there.
Jim: Abodes in the wilderness...What a great idea. I’ve been needing someplace to store my supplies (pulls out a packet of jello). (Aside)
Brother Scott begins class.
Scott: Now, I know we’re all very excited about today...(pause)...but we do have a...short...lesson, so if you could please open up your scriptures to...Joshua 3. Today, we will be talking about the gifts that the Israelites gave to King David...which is definitely...fitting for today. Tino, could you start us off at verse 5 and then we’ll go down this way until we get to verse 8?
Dwight starts looking for his scripture marking ruler and he can’t find it. He leaves to go to the library and see if it’s in there. While reading continues, there is a scream. Air high-five (with Pam, naturally) When Dwight comes back, he has a jell-o mold, and in the middle of the jell-o is his scripture marking ruler. Instead of calling out, though, he glares at Jim,(video tape him glaring, then turn to Jim with camera, where Jim does a quick smile and raises his eyebrows, back to Dwight who THEN) pulls it out, wipes it on his tent, and uses it.
Angela: In September Dwight became the assistant to the seminary president. This role gives him a lot of power. Jim fears power...so he pulls pranks on Dwight out of jealousy. He’s stuck Dwight’s scripture marking pencil in jello 3 times this month.
Continued reading...
Scott: (aside) They are so clever (holds up flier) I mean, what better place to hide a gift than in a tent? And I think Jim has some kind of green cake under his tent, I saw him sneak it in from the hall just now. (simultaneous shots of brother Scott trying to see underneath the abodes to find out if there are any gifts there. People look confused.)
Scott: (in class) So, that’s it for our lesson...but, oh man, it looks like we’re about...15 minutes early. So, if anyone has any questions, or, I don’t know, anything they’d like to GIVE, now would be a good time.
(silence)
Bro. Scott: Haha, all right, well then I guess we’ll just wait until after the closing prayerrrr... (looking expectant. When Kelly volunteers for the closing prayer, he calls on her and gives an expectant smirk)
A shot of a car coming into the church parking lot.
Bro. Scott: All right, class, thanks for coming to class today, I guess...I’ll see you....alll....soon.
Kids start packing up their abodes and there aren’t any gifts underneath, three or four leave. Scott starts to look confused. And just then, a knock at the door! Bro. Scott opens it and it’s Phyllis, with a plate of brownies.
Phyllis: sorry I’m late...I had to brush my teeth. But here, I made some brownies yesterday and I thought you guys might want some.
Bro. Scott: Ha! Way...to...surprise me, you guys! I just knew that you guys would remember my birthday! I mean, I got worried there for a second but -- You are...(starts to get weepy) the best class...I could ever ask for!
The rest of the class suddenly picks up that it’s his birthday and they start to celebrate with him. Camera focus on Dwight, who realizes it’s his birthday, hits his head, and says something like “fool!” to himself.
Dwight: I keep various weaponry strategically placed around the classroom (show clips of Dwight pulling out random things from the classroom). I saved Jim’s life once with a plastic fork I had velcro’d under the piano. And now I’m going to save Brother Scott’s birthday.
Dwight pulls out a thick candle from behind a chair and sticks it right on top of the brownies. Meredith plays ‘happy birthday’ and simultaneously...
Scott: I have...the greatest class. I mean, really. It is so amazing being with them. That’s what it’s all about. Kindness and charity! I couldn’t be any prouder.
THE END!!!!!!
